The NDSCS Alumni Foundation’s annual DREAMS Auction has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 13, 2019 due to the current and forecasted weather conditions. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the event, which will be held at the Clair T. Blikre Activities Center on the NDSCS campus in Wahpeton.

NDSCS graduates are in high demand – a fact that was reinforced through the College’s most recent Graduate Placement Report, which identified that the College’s placement rate has risen to 99%. Often, those graduates were hired prior to graduation, and may have had their education sponsored by their employer. Seeking to fill workforce needs, and to encourage employees to return to their hometowns, many businesses and local economic development organizations have turned to student sponsorship programs.

The NDSCS Alumni Foundation is one of the participating charities for Giving Hearts Day, a 24-hour giving event for charities across North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota that will take place on Thursday, February 14, 2019. All donations the NDSCS Alumni Foundation receives through Giving Hearts Day will support the NDSCS Nursing department.

The NDSCS Alumni Foundation has received a donation of $30,000 from the Shorma Family to support the NDSCS Athletics Department. The free weight gym in the Clair T. Blikre Activities Center has been renamed the Shorma Family Gym in recognition of this donation.

The community is invited to join North Dakota State College of Science as the College celebrates Homecoming during the week of September 24-29, 2018 in Wahpeton, N.D. Homecoming coronation will take place on Wednesday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m. in the Bremer Bank Theatre in the Harry Stern and Ella Stern Cultural Center.

The North Dakota State College of Science Athletic Department is inducting five individuals and two teams into the Letterwinners Hall of Fame. Inductees will be honored on Saturday, September 29, 2018 during the Hall of Fame Banquet at 7:00 p.m. in The Alley at the Hektner Student Center on the NDSCS campus in Wahpeton. The North Dakota State College of Science Alumni/Foundation will recognize a group of distinguished alumni and friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 during the Alumni and Friends Awards Recognition at 7:00 p.m. in The Alley at the Hektner Student Center on the NDSCS campus in Wahpeton. The public is invited to attend the recognition ceremony to celebrate the honorees. The North Dakota State College of Science Alumni/Foundation is excited to connect with alumni and friends in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Fargo Theatre in downtown Fargo, N.D. from 6:30 – 10:00 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a downtown Fargo outing and find out what is new at NDSCS. The pre-movie social will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the movie Last Vegas, will start at 7:45 p.m.

The North Dakota State College of Science Alumni/Foundation will celebrate its 16th annual Otter Tail Lakes area gathering with alumni and friends on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 9–11 a.m. at the Otter Lodge in Ottertail, Minn.

Attendees can enjoy a delicious brunch and find out what is new at NDSCS. The brunch will begin at 9 a.m. with a short program following at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
